Entertainment Cruises - An Evening on the Hudson
**This post is a sponsored post. While our trip was comped, all opinions expressed are my own.**
When we live so close to the Hudson River, we tend to forget what great trips and adventures we have nearby. Whether it is sightseeing in New York, visiting the Statue of Liberty and touring Ellis Island, or going to the small museums that commemorate local history, there is so much to do.
A few months ago, I met someone who worked at Entertainment Cruises and decided that I needed to go on a boat cruise and bring the experience to you. So, I worked with their team and had a romantic evening with my friend Celeste. If you watch our instastories or check our instagram, you might have seen her a few times.
Entertainment Cruises is the largest sightseeing cruise company in the US with a fleet of 42 ships in cities that include: Alexandria, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, National Harbor, MD, Norfolk, VA, Philadelphia, New York, Washington, D.C. and Weehawken, NJ. Entertainment Cruises had its first ride in 1978 in Norfolk, VA. Since then, they have expanded their locations and their fleet. We passed their Bateaux Glass Ship, which looked huge on the water and I definitely want to check that one out next!
We took the boat from Lincoln Harbor Marina in Weehawken on a beautiful Friday evening. Every time I go to a marina, I am in awe of the boats and the work that people put into them. The crew was amazing and greeted us every step of the way. Each party had a table assigned to them and we were at a window table with the dance floor and DJ across from us. Throughout the dinner service we were serenaded by a great acoustic performer. Afterwards, the DJ came on and it was a party. Everyone was on the top deck and we went up and took some beautiful photos, but we wanted to dance the night away. After the boat docked, the guests continued to dance.
To go back to dinner, the food was delicious and there were many vegetarian options. My meat-eating friend filled her plate and I tasted all of the vegetarian options. We took advantage of the unlimited drinks package and had a good amount of bubbly. The waitstaff was amazing and after I realized I should have taken dramamine, they made a ginger ale with bitters for me.
The experience was pretty amazing.
It felt awesome to get dressed up for an evening out.
Thank you, Entertainment Cruises for having us.
Definitely check them out for a special night, party, or to have a night on the town… water… with friends.
