Jersey City Craft Brew Fest
The Harborside Craft Brew Fest will be taking over Harborside Plaza 3 in Jersey City next Saturday, October 15th. This is the inaugural event for this festival and it will feature over 150 beers from more than 75 different breweries.
There has been an emphasis placed on local beer, as many of the participating breweries are from New Jersey including very local breweries such as Departed Soles from Jersey City and 902 Brewing Co., based out of Hoboken.
Evan Berman, the man behind the event, is especially excited about bringing the festival to such a great city:
"Jersey City Is experiencing enormous growth and it's exciting to be at the forefront of its evolution. Im also excited to be working with such an incredible real estate developer (Mack-Cali) on their marquee Harborside waterfront property. Craft Beer is a personal passion of mine so it's thrilling to bring over 75 breweries (more than 150 styles) to Harborside for people to enjoy.”
The festival aims to model itself after the most famous beer festival in the world: Oktoberfest. Their website states "In the spirit of Oktoberfest, a traditional GERMAN CELEBRATION of beer and countrymen WILL BE HELD with over 150 styles of craft beer featuring many NJ breweries."
The event will feature two sessions. Session 1 runs noon-4pm and features live music by Drum and a Tantrum. Session 2 runs 5:30-9:30pm and features live music by Street Hassle and the Brass Balls. Food options at the festival will include The Cow and the Curd, Mac Truck, Nuchas, Urban Lobster Shack, San Matteo Pizza, and Espresso Bar.
Tickets to either session includes a souvenir glass with unlimited refills, live music, and access to the food vendors. Click here to get your tickets before they're gone!
