Hey Friends -

Thank you for joining Growing in Jersey City as we share the stories of the amazing people we call neighbors in Jersey City and the surrounding area.

​

We are a team of residents throughout Hudson County growing together to be part of our really awesome cities (yes, all of Hudson County is awesome). We hope you find inspiration in what we share, keep reading, and being part of this wonderful community.

How did the blog start? 

Our Editor-in-Chief, Jenna Firshein, had been active in the community and join the Riverview Neighborhood Organization as a chair person and then board member for 3+ years. She was exposed to all the organizations that lobby, protect, help grow, and sustain the city. She wanted to plant her roots a little deeper and bought a condo in a bank built at the turn of the century and immediately joined her condo board.

When she felt settled, she wanted to get back into the action, but on her terms and decided  to share Jersey City through her eyes and her perspective and thus, Growing in Jersey City was created.

 

We are always looking for writers, photographers, and contributors of any kind, so please reach out.
